What is the difference between a friendship/ normal ring and an engagement ring?
I haven't a clue i see girls wearing rings all the time, but how do you know which is engagement and the ones just for decoration or for going out?
Engagement Ring -
Engagement rings are most likely a gold-like tint, with diamond(s) covering it. The preferred finger to wear to wear it on is the left hand, ring finger (between pinkie and middle finger, of course.)
Normal Ring-
A normal, plain, decorative ring will most likely not have diamonds, although it may be gold. It usually has green or red gems, or some other type of more unique, but common style. They have no common placement on the fingers, but it's probably not the left ring finger. 
So, to summarize this, and add a little more, engagement rings come in a very simple, diamond/gold design, and is worn on the left ring finger - while normal rings are more common, and have more colloring to them.
Like I said, they have no specific finger.
