Buying an engagement ring from Jewelry Exchange?
Me and my soon to be husband are shopping around for an engagement ring. I have been looking at the Jewelry Exchange and I was wondering about their semi-mounts, the rings that are left without a center diamond so they are cheaper to buy...
When you buy a ring from the Jewelry Exchange that's a semi-mount, do yo have to pay extra for the loose diamond that they will put on the semi-mount? Or do you pay for that included when you buy the whole ring?
The reason I am asking is because I don't plan to get a diamond ring, I want a ruby ring, so would it be more expensive to buy a semi-mount and get the ruby put on it or to just look for a ruby finished ring?
no the way semi mounts work is that you buy the setting and then you purchase the diamond separate so if you are thinking of getting a ruby then the semi mount will work for you because either way you have to buy the center stone separate
