Engagement Ring Help?
I've been looking for a while and saw this one a couple of days ago. I need some help. Is this nice for an engagement ring or should I just do a center stone without all the other diamonds?

Should I go with an Emerald cut, a Princess cut, or an Asscher cut center stone? She doesn't like round stones.
Would you chose white gold or platinum? Or does it not really matter? She does not wear yellow gold.
What size center stone would look good? I was thinking a 1ct but, would that look too big?

i think a 1ct would be absolutely stunning. Although if you are getting it with the side stones, you can be a bit more flexible with size because it will already look very sparkly, but if its just the centre stone go for the 1ct!
Mine is a 1.2 solitaire and it is the most beautiful elegant ring. I would also go the princess cut, it looks great with that design as well, but it is my favourite cut 
in regards to it being with or without the diamonds i think that is really a matter of personal preference... i preferred mine with no additional diamonds because i like the solitaire look with a diamond wedding band.... but with the diamonds looks really pretty as well!!! Thats your call
I would definately go white gold, platinum is a more expensive metal AND it is a softer metal, which can cause problems long term!
Also, dont forget your 4 Cs (colour being the most important, then clarity). Aim for the highest colour you can (D is the best) because the higher the colour, the more sparkly and full of life the diamond will be (and white obviously).
